Program Overview
The Primary STEM Project gives schools the chance to apply real life skills in the classroom. Students design, make, test a model car and then race their finished models on a 10 meter track.

What Students Will Learn
Design & Build
Build a car chassis by folding a prestamped paper net and create a custom body shell.
Real-World Science
Learn about air resistance, gravity, and air pressure through hands-on activities.
Let's Race
Test aerodynamic qualities on a 10m track and see how ideas come to life.

Measurable Learning Outcomes
Students in Primary Class develop foundational engineering thinking through hands-on project work.
Students learn to sketch, iterate, and refine car designs using templates and hands-on construction.
Teams of 2-4 students work together to build and race, developing communication and leadership skills.
Test hypotheses about aerodynamics and gravity through racing performance data and observable results.
Students diagnose performance issues and implement design improvements based on track testing feedback.
Presenting their finished car and competing in races builds confidence and public speaking skills.
Top performers advance to Entry Class (ages 11-14) with 3D CAD modeling and digital design tools.
Ready to Level Up?
Successful Primary Class students can progress to Entry Class to learn professional 3D CAD modeling, 3D printing, and aerodynamic analysis using industry-standard tools.
